American Idol Favorite Wade Cota Opens Up About His 140 Lb. Weight Loss —
and What It Means for His Career

WADE COTA RELEASES NEW SINGLE “FAKE IT”
FROM FORTHCOMING 2021 ALBUM ON BIG PANDA RECORDS

(Phoenix, AZ) February 5, 2021 – American Idol Top 5 finalist of season 17, Wade Cota has released a new single, Fake It from his forthcoming 2021 album. Listen HERE

The Arizona singer/songwriter with the deep soulful voice America fell in love with on Idol, wrote Fake It during a very dark time in quarantine as his father was dying.

“When the pandemic hit, I just felt so alone,” Wade says. “My father was sick, and now he has passed. At the time it felt like the world was ending, at least for myself and the music industry. It’s hard for me to say, but what inspired me to write this song was trying to find the strength to not hurt myself. I was having the darkest thoughts I have ever had. I am honestly overjoyed that I put my actions to paper instead of doing something I know would crush my family. Sometimes you just have to get your words out to heal. Things are not back to normal, but I am. I’m very excited for the future, and have been writing a lot.”

Fake It will be released on Cota’s forthcoming 2021 album, on Big Panda Records; a new label formed by the merging of two industry heavyweights – Andrew Goodfriend, President of TKO booking agency, and Brad Patrick of Liveside Music Group.

WADE COTA RELEASES NEW SINGLE “ORDINARY LIFE”
AMERICAN IDOL TOP 5 FINALIST TO RELEASE NEW ALBUM IN EARLY 2021

September 18, 2020 – American Idol Top 5 finalist of season 17, Wade Cota has released a new single, “Ordinary Life,” from his forthcoming new album on Big Panda Records. Listen HERE.

The Arizona singer/songwriter wrote the heartfelt rocker “Ordinary Life” in quarantine. Wade says, “It’s the classic story of loving someone so much, then losing them because of something you said. All you want to do is make it right. If only they would give you a chance and see you for one last time.”

Wade went from the American Idol stage to successfully crowd-funding his debut album, Big Feet Baby Steps. The Arizona Republic said of the album, “The raspy vocal prowess that made him a natural contender on reality TV is put to brilliant use on seven songs of gritty alternative rock.”

Look for Wade’s forthcoming (untitled) new album to be released on Big Panda Records in early 2021.

AMERICAN IDOL TOP 5 FINALIST WADE COTA
RELEASES NEW SINGLE “DRIVER’S SIDE”
FULL ALBUM “BIG FEET, BABY STEPS” DEBUTS TOP 20 iTUNES

April 6, 2020 – American Idol Top 5 finalist of season 17, Wade Cota has released a new single, “Driver’s Side,” and album, Big Feet, Baby Steps, which debuted Top 20 on iTunes Top 100 Pop Albums Chart. Listen to single and album HERE

The Arizona singer/songwriter went from the American Idol stage to successfully crowd-funding his independent debut album. The first single “Driver’s Side” trucks along on a crunchy distorted groove, wild guitar leads, and his unmistakable bellow. Lyrically, he paints a vivid picture of escape.

Surviving severe physical abuse and poverty as a child, Wade went through hell to get here. “Everything that happened pushed me to music, because I didn’t know anyone else in the situation I was in,” Wade says. “It made me feel comfortable about telling my story, because I could sing it—instead of just talking about it. I never looked back from there.”

Produced with JJ Corry Rossi, the forthcoming album, Big Feet, Baby Steps features 7 original songs. From the vulnerable onfessions of “Remedy,” to the lull of clean guitars bleeding through a thick beat on “Stay,” Wade delivers a poignant message.

“No matter how much shit gets thrown at you, you have to keep getting up,” he says. “I’ve failed so many times in my life. I’ve been broken down and beaten. Now, I finally have this opportunity to put my words out there. The only thing I can ever hope for is somebody hears them and connects.”
